How we make our guides
Every guide in Learn follows the same steps. This page says what they are, including where AI helps and what we have not tested ourselves.
Every guide starts from sources
Each guide lists the sources it was built from at the bottom of the page. A source is a regulator’s own text, a vendor’s own documentation or a published study. Each one is named, linked and shown with the date we read it.
Where a guide gives a figure, the figure sits next to the link to where it came from.
Drafting is AI-assisted
We use AI to help draft the first version of a guide from those sources. We say so plainly. The draft is a starting point, not a finished article.
Every claim is checked against its source
Before a guide goes live, a separate AI checking pass, kept apart from the drafting, compares each claim with the source it points to. A claim the source does not support is cut or rewritten. Automatic checks also confirm every link still works. We keep a record of each pass.
Some guides are read by our founder before they go live: guides that name a company’s prices, error rates or customers, guides about UK rules, and anything that reports RingTru’s own results. Guides about UK rules describe what a published text says. They are not legal advice.
When we have not tested something
Most guides are built from sources and have no results of ours behind them. When that is the case, the guide says so. Where we have not run a step ourselves, we write that we have not. Anything not measured is labelled, for example “Example data”.
What the dates mean
- Published is the day the guide first went live.
- Sources checked is the last day we re-read the sources and confirmed the claims still match them.
- Updated changes only when the content really changes. Re-checking a source with nothing to change does not count.
Corrections
If you think a guide is wrong, tell us through the book a call page and name the guide and the line. We check it against the source. If you are right, we fix the guide and change its date. We do not quietly leave an error in place.
